The Ranch
house
“The main ranch house sits steady and welcoming, and its expansive deck overlooking the upper property offers a front-row seat to peace. Whether you’re having a quiet breakfast or sharing laughs over dinner, The Ranch House is the perfect place to unwind.
The Hunting Cabin
Built from the bones of one of the Ol 'Cabins that once stood on Gird Creek Rd., this hunting cabin carries the spirit of the frontier in every log. Perched with a fine view over a stretch of the ranch, it comes complete with a traditional outhouse, a smudge pot, and walls lined with weathered treasures collected over generations. It’s the steadfast home base for the annual hunt, where stories grow as tall as the pines.

Ol' Cabins
Two weather-worn log cabins once stood side by side, their timbers holding more stories than you could imagine. Now only one remains on the trail, the other hauled off piece by piece to start a new chapter somewhere down the road...or up the hill...

Pigs Point
Pigs Point—named in honor of Clark—has become an iconic landmark both on the property and on Google Maps. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled as you venture up the trail from Gird Creek Road and you may find sheds hidden in the trees or other wild treasures. Or who knows… you might just stumble upon a mysteriously hidden bottle along the way.

Brain Damage
Bend
Brain Damage Bend earned its name the hard way—an ATV wreck on the Fourth of July that sent two riders on an unexpected hospital vacation. We laugh about it now, mostly because everyone walked away in the end, but the story serves as a friendly reminder to take it slow at this bend in the trail.

Pietenburg
Pond
Pietenburg Pond was dug to give the summer cattle—and any wandering critters—a dependable drink. The pond’s namesake got their hands dirty running the dozer and having a blast while shaping it, so it only felt right to honor them.

Named after a swift leap from Cooper, the yellow lab who runs the ranch like an endless playground. Running trails, rounding up humans, and living his best dog life, he discovered a cattle trough and made it his personal swimming spot. Now, no one can keep him out, and the hole stands as a reminder of a dog's ranch-born spirit.
Cold Smoke
Arch
The traditional ranch arch stands proud at the start of the driveway. It’s a proper “welcome home,” giving a glimpse of the wide-open views that stretch out across the ranch.

Rocking Bar H
Cold Smoke Ranch partners with Rocking Bar H to provide part-time land for their cattle. We’ve made plenty of great memories with the herd on the property, watching the seasons change and marking each milestone along the way.
